Description
2025 April #006. The threshold between materiality and dissolution captivates me here, this figure caught in the moment of transformation. Working with these ivory tones, I found myself thinking about alabaster and how it appears both solid and translucent when light passes through it. The body becomes a permeable membrane rather than a boundary.
What interests me most is the tension between surrender and emergence, how the figure seems simultaneously to be yielding and becoming. Those hands particularly fascinate me, neither fully grasping nor releasing, existing in that ambiguous state where
